5 good reasons to get on your bike

As a collective courier team, we all share a passion for cycling. Whether it’s feeling the wind through your hair, the fact that it keeps us fit, saves us money or stops us polluting the environment, there are lots of great reasons to get on your bike. Here’s five:

1. City Slickers

If you live and work in the city and commute by bike then chances are you’ll get their quicker. You can slip stream the queues, ignore the road rage and get your bike clips off before the kettle boils.

2. Get the Heart Pumping

If you can get your heart rate up regularly pedalling around then you’re looking after your health with very little effort at all. It could be the commute, the family sunday day out, or just a quick blast around the block before tea.

3. Sleeping Beauty

If we cycle for 20-30 minutes every other day, then we are likely to sleep much better. It relieves stress and exposes you to more daylight, making you sleep deeper and with better quality.

4. Turn Back Time

Age defying creams just don’t work. Let’s face it. Not that the guys use anything at all. But cycling can do the job just fine. Increased circulation through exercise delivers oxygen and nutrients to skin cells more effectively, while flushing harmful toxins out. It will also reduce the appearance of wrinkles.. as long as you put some suncream on if we’re lucky enough to have a lovely day.

5. Boost Your Brain

Did you know that cycling helps build new brain cells in the hippocampus – the region responsible for memory, which apparently deteriorates from the age of 30
